Julia Kania - Here

Here is the debut studio album by Julia Kania – vocalist, bandleader and songwriter. The record consists of nine original compositions being the collection of the leader’s explorations, reflections and experiences. The key features of recorded pieces are simplicity and economy of musical means. At the same time, the compositions reap the full benefit of the musical wealth of jazz.

The vocalist is accompanied by well-known young jazz musicians with whom she has formed JULIA KANIA QUARTET: Kajetan Borowski – piano, Adam Tadel – double bass, Piotr Budniak – drums. The album features guest performance by one of the most acclaimed and jazz guitarists – Szymon Mika.
